The Shockers are going to the Championship! On Oct. 20-21, the New York Shock Exchange will play to win the 2012 Men’s Roller Derby Association Championship at the Gateway to the Best Tournament.
The New York Shock Exchange’s B-Squad, the Dow Jones Average, compete with the Mass Maelstrom next Saturday, September 15th. Less than three weeks ago, the Shockers’ A-Squad defeated the Maelstrom to win the Mohawk Valley Cup tournament. Read the rest of this entry »
This November the Shock Exchange crosses the Atlantic to play roller derby in the United Kingdom! The Manchester New Wheeled Order and Southern Discomfort (London) will host the Shockers on Nov. 17-18th and Nov. 24-25th, respectively. Each weekend will feature an exciting, broadcast game and an open training camp.
These first intercontinental men’s roller derby games will help pave the way for European teams such as Southern Discomfort, Manchester New Wheeled Order, the Inhuman League, Lincolnshire Rolling Thunder, the Toulouse Quad Guards, and many more to join the ever-growing Men’s Roller Derby Association to truly make roller derby a worldwide sport!
To begin raising funds for this historic tour, the Shock Exchange will be hosting a party on July 19th at Don Pedro in Brooklyn, NY. Details rolling in soon.
The Dow Jones Average cross the Canadian border to take on the Montreal Mont Royals this Saturday, June 16th. This will be the first time a New York Shock Exchange team plays an international opponent and the first time one plays outside the United States! Read the rest of this entry »
On May 12th and 13th the New York Shock Exchange All-Stars play at the Spring Roll Invitational in Fort Wayne, IN. On Saturday (5/12), the Shock Exchange takes on Your Mom Men’s Derby (Des Moines, IA) at 8pm. On Sunday (5/13), the Shock Exchange plays against Portland Men’s Roller Derby at 11:30AM and the St. Louis GateKeepers at 5:00PM. This Fort Wayne Derby Girls-hosted invitational features a grand total of 13 Men’s Roller Derby Association teams. Live coverage will be broadcast on Derby News Network. Read the rest of this entry »
On Saturday, March 31st, the NY Shock Exchange All-Stars defeated the Harm City Homicide (Baltimore, MD) 366-86 at a doubleheader bout hosted by Shore Points Roller Derby. The Shore Points Broadwalk Brawlers bested the Jerzey Derby Brigade Coporal Punishers 202-46 first and the men took the track second.
On Saturday, March 31st, the New York Shock Exchange All-Stars open their 2012 Men’s Roller Derby Association season against the Harm City Homicide of Baltimore, MD. The bout will be a doubleheader hosted by Shore Points Roller Derby, whose very own Broadwalk Brawlers are taking on the Jerzey Derby Bridge’s Corporal Punishers. On February 11th, the 2012 New York Shock Exchange Roller Derby Season begins with a Coney Island Freakshow/Union Squares battle at the St. Valentine’s Massacre in Long Island.
