NYSE All-Stars vs. St. Louis GateKeepers and Portland Bridgetown Menace

On the weekend of July 26th-27th, the New York Shock Exchange All-Stars take on the St. Louis GateKeepers and Portland’s Bridgetown Menace. The games will be held at RollerCon 2014 in Las Vegas, NV.

The NYSE vs St. Louis game is Saturday, 7/26, at 5:30PM. Tickets are available here. The following day, 7/27, the Shockers take on Portland at 12:30PM. Tickers for that game are here.

The Shock Exchange All-Stars, currently ranked #2 in the Men’s Roller Derby Association (MRDA), last played both of these teams at the 2013 MRDA Championships.  They beat Portland, currently ranked #6, by 56 points and scored a 12 point upset over the GateKeepers who are now ranked #3. St. Louis and Portland will play each other on the Sunday evening of RollerCon at 5:30PM. None of these teams have played each other yet this year.

NYSE All-Stars Win 1st Game of 2014

On Friday, June 20th, The New York Shock Exchange All-Star team bested New England’s Mass Maelstrom at the East Coast Derby Extravaganza! The final score of the intense, hard-hitting, crowd-pleasing game was 253-142.

For the Shock Exchange, the most points (176 ) were scored with blocker Malcolm Sex #125 on the track  while, for Mass, it was Gaudet #1337 with 113 points.  For jammers, Jonathan R #6 scored the most points (142) for NYSE and Jurasskick Park #1993 scored the most (95) for the Maelstrom.

Next for the New York Shock Exchange All-Stars is a trip to Las Vegas on the weekend of July 26-27 to play the St. Louis GateKeepers and the Portland Bridgetown Menace at RollerCon.

NYSE All-Stars vs Mass Maelstrom – 6/20

On Friday, June 20th, the New York Shock Exchange All-Stars begin their 2014 campaign by playing against the Mass Maelstrom from New England. The game will be held at the 2014 East Coast Derby Extravaganza (ECDX) in Feasterville, PA.

The game will be held at 6:00PM. Tickets are available here. It is scheduled to be broadcast on wftda.tv.

The Shock Exchange All-Stars, currently ranked #2 in the Men’s Roller Derby Association (MRDA), played the Mass Maelstrom, currently ranked #4 in the MRDA, last year at ECDX in an exciting game that ended with NYSE winning by 12. Full video of that game is online here.

Later in 2013, the Shockers beat the Maelstrom by a more convincing 88 points in Coney Island but later lost to them by 12 in the final of the Mohawk Valley Cup. This will be their first meeting in 2014.

Dow Jones Average vs Penn Jersey Hooligans – 6/7

On June 7th, the Dow Jones Average, the New York Shock Exchange’s B Travel Team, travels to Pennsylvania to take on the Penn Jersey Hooligans. This doubleheader is hosted by the Pottstown Roller Derby Rockstars who will play State College Area Roller Derby (SCAR).

DJA wins 1st game of 2014!

Last night the Dow Jones Average climbed to victory over Jersey Boys Roller Derby! The final sum of points was 259 to 103. In this successful endeavor, Otter Manic #311 and Skunk #30 made their public roller derby debuts with the league. For Jersey Boys Roller Derby, Scooter McGoot #VR6 was chosen as Most Valuable Blocker and Bear #1983 was chosen as Most Valuable Jammer. For the Average, Most Valuable Blocker went to Harm’s Way #8 and Most Valuable Jammer went to I A. M. Havoc #275.
